Freight Service Category Awards 2017
The information below explains the process to enter categories in the BIFA Freight Service Awards competition. A maximum number of 3 categories may be entered. However, a company may compete only once in each category entered.
Entering the Category Awards is simple
Download the Awards Entry Form 2017 (Microsoft Word document), enable editing, complete your contact details, tell us about your entry keeping to the indicated word counts (Introduction: 300 words; Detail of Project or Service: 600 words; Conclusion: 100 words), save the document and email to firstname.lastname@example.org by the closing date, 5pm on Monday 2nd October 2017.
Entry is completely free of charge.
Your submission/s should detail a relevant service or project such as a specific case study, the development of a new service for a particular customer, or a more generic example of good practice.
Your submission/s must be presented following BIFA’s standard format as below:
- Introduction (max. 300 words)
- Details of the Project/Service including benefits to your company and/or your customer/s (max. 600 words)
- Conclusion (max. 100 words)
A preliminary judges’ meeting will take place in October to select four finalists in each category. At this stage, you will be notified in writing if you have made the finalists’ shortlist and, if successful, you will be invited to submit supporting documents such as photographs, customer testimonials or statistics for review by the Sponsors Judging panel. Your submission/s will need to demonstrate excellence, and will be assessed by the Judging Panel on the merits of the following six judging criteria:
- Innovative Ideas
- Service Enhancements offered
- Benefits for the Customer
- Benefits for the Company
- Quality of the Presentation
- Judges’ Overview
The category winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 18th January 2018.
