National Vehicle Crime - NaVCIS

NaVCIS is the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service, a Police Unit dedicated to the prevention and detection of vehicle crime and supporting law enforcement both home and abroad. Published in the last 3 months these publications are provided for information purposes only.

As part of the National Police Chiefs Council Portfolio, NaVCIS represents UK policing and provide support to National Crime Agency, UKBF and HM Government.

In recent years the UK has seen a notable reduction in vehicle crime – with thefts of vehicles falling from 378,000 in 1997 to around 90,000 in 2013.
