Clarification regarding CIP 29 (2015) NCH Trader Form for Route 1 and 2 declarations
In response to Member concerns regarding the above CIP, BIFA has been in contact with the NCH to discuss the implementation of the new header document.
Customs have advised us the following:-
“The National Clearance Hub is introducing a Business Developed Application to improve our current Route 1 process. To support the new BDApp we have created a new header form for traders to use when submitting route 1 and 2 entry documentation at the hub.
We will be trialling the form over the coming weeks and encourage traders to start using the form. We plan to make this form mandatory at a later date but will give plenty of advance notice of the agreed go live date.
The header form is available now to download from Gov.uk. The following links provide the relevant information for the Membership:-
- Download the trader submission header form at Import and export: trader submission form header for declarations (NCH1).
- National Clearance Hub guidance can be found at https://www.gov.uk/national-clearance-hub-for-goods-entering-leaving-or-transiting-the-eu
- A guide to emailing the NCH can be found at Customs Information Paper 47 (2014): National Clearance Hub email guidelines”
BIFA will update its members as to progress in introducing this new form and process.
