Dockflow App may help with demurrage and detention costs

Whilst being strictly neutral, commercially, on occasion BIFA does become aware of a service that may be of assistance to Members and is pleased to provide more information about an App that has been launched by Dockflow that may help freight forwarders avoid demurrage and detention costs.

As a result Coronavirus, many ports are understaffed or in complete lockdown, some importers have closed down, and documents have not been sent from origin, all resulting on occasion in high demurrage and detention costs.

Dockflow as a start-up company aims to provide freight forwarders with appropriate digital tools. In that regard, it has created an application that notifies forwarders once their containers are subject to demurrage or detention costs.

The application is available for free on Dockflow’s website
