HMRC have become aware of some differences in terminology between the Trader Support Service and Goods Vehicle Movement Service.
This is sometimes causing difficulties for Hauliers when they check in their Goods Movement Requests at GB Border Locations (prior to moving goods to Northern Ireland).
To this end, HMRC have worked with the Trader Support Service to produce a guide for Hauliers that will reduce the likelihood of incorrect information being entered into GVMS.
Please Note: Whilst this guide shares screens and refers the GVMS User Interface, it equally applies to Hauliers who are using software to generate their Goods Movement Requests, since the same data is used in both.
HMRC have requested that BIFA share this information with Members.
