Birmingham Clean Air Zone- information on Grace Period
Birmingham City Council have announced that, in order to help the transition, there will be a short grace period until 14 June 2021 during which vehicles will not be charged to drive in the Birmingham Clean Air Zone.
Who will be affected?
Vehicle owners will need to pay a charge from 14 June 2021 to drive in Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone if their vehicle is a non-compliant bus, coach, taxi, Private Hire Vehicle, HGV, van or minibus. The Birmingham Clean Air Zone will also charge cars if they are not EURO 4 petrol, EURO 6 diesel, or exempted by the council.
