Suzi Perry Will Set the Tempo at Freight Association’s Awards

Press Release | The British International Freight Association has chosen Suzi Perry, the accomplished broadcaster and ‘Queen of the Pit Lane’, as the celebrity host for its annual Freight Service Awards ceremony in 2024.

Well-known as a motorsports correspondent, Suzi was the first permanent female anchor of BBC One’s Formula 1 coverage, then in 2016 she returned to the world of motorcycle racing when she joined the BT Sport team as channel ambassador and host of its Moto GP and Speed-way GP series.

Suzi’s career has not just been about wheels, and her other sport hosting credits include the BBC’s live coverage of Royal Ascot, Wimbledon, the London Marathon, Trooping the Colour, the London Olympics, the Great North Run, and the Boat Race.

She also has a family background in music and a love of technology, which have led to stints on BBC Radio 2 and the Gadget Show.

Sponsored by ASM (UK) Ltd, BIFA is certain that Suzi will set the right tempo at next year’s awards ceremony luncheon and make sure that the event has a flawless start, progresses on schedule, and gets across the finishing line on time.

Entries for the BIFA Freight Service Awards, which are open to all trading members of the trade association, representing UK companies engaged in managing the international movement of freight by all modes of transport, are now closed, with the finalists due to be announced later this month.

BIFA Director General, Steve Parker, says the awards ceremony luncheon is an annual event on the industry calendar and is scheduled to take place at The Brewery in London on Thursday January 18th next year when Suzi will host many BIFA members and their guests. Once again, it will provide a valuable opportunity for attendees to acknowledge both the finalists and winners, as well as networking with people from within the industry.

Further information about the awards and reservations for the luncheon can be obtained by visiting the BIFA awards website www.bifa.org/awards
