Due to scheduled maintenance on the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), the CDS service will be unavailable to all users on Saturday 9th December 2023, 22:00 to 05:00 Sunday 10th December 2023.
Declarations submitted the timeframe laid out above will be processed at the end of the downtime.
Creating, updating, or embarking a goods movement reference (GMR) that are linked to CDS could be affected during the times listed. For guidance on GVMS, please refer to the GVMS service availability and issues page.

Please read the GB/XI EORIs and Duty Deferment Accounts (DDAs) information in conjunction with the recent updates received from HMRC below. Further updates and instructions will be shared as soon as received from HMRC.
This guidance sets out the completion instructions that declarations will need to comply with post release. Please be advised that this may affect any declarations pre-lodged prior to release 4.3.0 going live on 9th on December.
In order to prevent rejections upon the implementation of CDS 4.3.0, please ensure that all pre-lodged declarations comply with the listed instructions.
