From 28 October 2024, the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) requirements are changing to improve the safety of all road users. To enter and operate in Greater London, any HGV over 12 tonnes must be rated as three stars or above. Please see the below message received from TfL.
Those vehicles rated as zero, one, or two stars must fit the Progressive Safe System (PSS) to be able to operate in Greater London. Details of the PSS and our updated Guide for Operators can be found here.
We want to ensure that operates of zero, one or two star=rated vehicles are ready for introduction of the PSS.
