HMRC has announced an upcoming update of the Customs Declaration Service to version 4.5.0, scheduled for the 6th of July 2024.
As part of the update some of the functionalities will be affected. To assist the trade, HMRC has issued a document which provides clarification on the implemented changes and also lists specific declaration completion instructions.
In order to avoid declaration rejections for shipments arriving on or after the 6th of July, all declarations should be pre-lodged according to the shared guidance.
