BIFA Regional Members Meeting – Solent

Venue Announced – This meeting will be taking place at Eastleigh College

Members will receive information on BIFA activity with HM Revenue and Customs and other Governmental/regulatory bodies at national level. The meeting will include a presentation from The South Hampshire College Group, Border Force and HMRC.

The meeting will also include updates on other key areas of local activity.

Attendees will have an opportunity for a two-way dialogue between members and the Association and to raise issues of concern or interest.

• South Hampshire College Group collaboration with BIFA. Next steps to engage members.
• HMRC with the latest news on CDS exports migration, an overview of the key messages and a discussion on key challenges, issues and success stories.
• BIFA Customs changes timeline overview – 2024-2025
• Border Force Presentation
• Environment and Sustainability: BIFA Policy Group updates on legal requirements, support to members and policy group activities planned for 2024.
• BIFA Airfreight updates: IATA/FIATA, aviation security, ICS2, Heathrow development plans.
• Legal Policy Group update: including Representation and Establishment.
• BIFA Surface (Ocean and Road) updates: including Red Sea issues.
• CNS update.
• Young Forwarder Network for Solent: Announcement of the first meeting and Port tour.
• Member Engagement: update: scheduled events for 2024; BIFA plans for updating member contact details.
