Contrary to an article in the latest issue of the Maritime Advocate magazine, BIFA is not involved in court actions over any trade disputes, currently. There is a case relating to a dispute between one of our members and one of its customers over the interpretation of the application of “Time Bars” covered by Clause 27 (B) within BIFA’s Standard Trading Conditions. The Association notes that this was an interim decision and that a trial is likely to be held during 2025.
