On 21st of March 2024 HM Treasury and HMRC published a consultation – ‘Introduction of a UK carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) from January 2027’. The consultation provides information on how the government is planning to design the UK CBAM

The government would like to understand the views of traders and invites Members to submit responses directly to the UK CBAM Policy Team.
The consultation is open for 12 weeks from 21st March 2024 to 13th of June 2024.
