BIFA YFN Northwest Workshop – NaVCIS

May 23 @ 3:15 pm - 5:00 pm

At the next CPD accredited BIFA YFN Northwest regional workshop, we will hear about how NaVCIS is working with the logistics community to combat international vehicle crime.

Taking place on Thursday 23rd May, 15:15 for 15:30 start, at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce our guest speaker will be PC Matthew Bate from NaVCIS and Merseyside Police.

During this session, you will:

  • See how freight forwarders, industry partners and the police can work together to deter organised criminals from exporting stolen goods from the UK.
  • Understand the links between exporting dangerous and hazardous goods and how this can put vessels and their crew at risk.
  • Learn how freight forwarders can work with NaVCIS to deter the exporting of stolen assets out of the UK.

Tea and coffee will be available during the event and afterwards, there will be an opportunity for social networking and drinks at the nearby Revolución de Cuba bar.

The BIFA YFN events provide a fantastic opportunity to network and build lasting relationships and friendships with fellow industry professionals.

About Matthew Bate

Matthew has been a Merseyside Police officer for just over fifteen years, spending his career on the response team which involved attending 999 calls and dealing with whatever was found at scene.

Last year, Matthew was seconded to NaVCIS and began a trial at the Port of Liverpool to attempt to prove a concept that Liverpool was being used to export stolen vehicles to overseas.
