BIFA Regional Members Meeting – Gatwick

Dear member,

We are holding the next Gatwick members meetings on October 9th 11:00 to 13:00 online via MS Teams.

The aim of the meeting is to ensure that you are fully briefed on key issues that may impact your business and to give you the chance to share your views with fellow members, our guest speakers and the BIFA Team

Guest Speakers:

IAG will give updates on operational activities and plans for Gatwick

Border Force will cover current issues and developments at the Borden

 We will also have updates from the BIFA team on:

• End of Gatwick Northern Runway Project Examination phase and next steps
• Heathrow Cargo Community Activity including:
  • Outcomes from the Sept 9th workshop on landside congestion
  • Latest on the establishment of the governance structure for the working group of stakeholders for the programme to develop the Cargo Terminal and its processes
• Customs:
  • BIFA Customs changes timeline overview – 2024-2025

• Windsor Framework – UKIMS “Green Lane” access
• Safety and Security Declarations for EU Imports
• Any further planned enhancements or changes to CDS
• Air Freight, Surface (Ocean and Road), and Legal matters
• Environment & Sustainability: Planned legislation and implications for members
• Member Engagement: scheduled events for 2024 and Phase 2 of the Member Data Update Campaign
• Training and Development
• Young Forwarder Network: Member support required to re-energise the group
