BIFA Regional Members Meeting – Kent & East Sussex

Members will receive information on BIFA activity with HM Revenue and Customs and other Governmental/regulatory bodies at national level. The meeting may include a presentation or representation from such external bodies.

The meeting will also include updates on other key areas of local activity.

Attendees will have an opportunity for a two-way dialogue between members and the Association and to raise issues of concern or interest.

• Dover Harbour Board – Speaker Doug Bannister, CEO, will be updating us on new developments at the port
• Update by service providers for the Dover Straits – P & O, DFDS, Irish Ferries & Eurotunnel. Speaker TBC.
• Report on the Customs Policy Group meeting on Feb 28th – Speakers Paul Newman & members attendees
• Border Force – Speaker Rebecca Stevens, Senior Officer, International Trade
• Report on Legal & Insurance Policy Group meeting held on Feb 29th – Speaker Paul Newman
• Report on Surface Policy Group meeting held on Feb 20th – Speakers Paul Newman & member attendees
• BIFA Training & YFN Update – Speaker TBC
• Ashford & Dover Port Health – Speakers Gill McIver & Beverley Edmondson, Port Health Officers
• BIFA KES Regional Committee representatives on the BIFA Council and National Policy Groups – Richard Catt / Terry Clear / Oliver Howell attend the BIFA Customs Policy Group. – Steve Wilson attends the BIFA Surface Policy Group. – Richard Catt represents KES on the BIFA Council.

The meeting will be followed by a buffet lunch and the opportunity to network with other BIFA members.
