To further promote and strengthen the industry, BIFA has partnered with the SHCG and urges Members to get involved!
Our joint vision is to enable the SHCG to develop and deliver courses that make their students highly attractive candidates for roles with BIFA Members through continuous and structured interaction with the extensive BIFA community in the Solent region.
Our key objectives:
- Inform and update BIFA Members of the skills courses that the SHCG runs that are relevant to the logistics sector
- Enable BIFA Members to give input to SHCG so that the relevant areas of logistics are included in their courses to ensure students have the essential foundation knowledge they need for a successful career within the industry
- Engage with SHCG students by supporting their career activities to give them a real insight into the many aspects of logistics so they get a clear understanding of the wide variety of skills and career opportunities in the logistics sector
How can you get involved?
We will send you a concise email with information and a short video that describes the current logistics courses offered by SHCG.
Join us at the next BIFA Members Solent Regional Meeting that will be held on 29th February at Eastleigh College – you can now register your place! Further information on the meeting will be sent out shortly, including guest speakers and the confirmed agenda, but this collaboration programme will be a key item.
We will share further information and have an open discussion with Members as to how best to work together to achieve our objectives. From the inputs we receive, we will set up and run a continuous and structured dialogue between BIFA Members and the SHCG.
Through this collaboration, we believe we can significantly improve the quality of understanding of the Logistics sector and impact the courses and their relevance, for the benefit of potential employees in the BIFA community.
